Fanfin Seadevil [Caulophryne jordani]
Description
This species is found in deep-sea habitats worldwide. As with other species in its family, the females are larger and have a complex body structure, including a bioluminescent lure. The males are much smaller and simpler, and their sole purpose is to find a female and attach to her for the rest of their life, providing sperm for reproduction.
