Estuarine Stonefish [Synanceia horrida]
Description
The Estuarine Stonefish is found in the coastal regions of the Indo-Pacific. Unlike the Reef Stonefish, it inhabits estuarine environments and turbid inshore reefs. It has a flattened body and a large, upturned mouth. It can reach lengths of up to 27 centimeters. It shares the same camouflage capabilities and venomous spines as the Reef Stonefish.
