Description
Commonly known as the slit limpet, it is a species of sea snail. They are known for their small, conical shape and their deep, narrow slit at the rear of the shell. They inhabit rocky substrates in the subtidal zone and have a wide distribution across the Eastern Atlantic, from Norway to the Canary Islands, including the Mediterranean and Black Sea.
