Elegant Worm [Pygospio elegans]

Description
The Pygospio elegans, commonly known as the Elegant Worm, is a species of polychaete worm that is found in both marine and brackish habitats throughout the world. They typically live in U-shaped burrows in mud or sand. This species is characterized by having a large number of very small segments, each with a pair of parapodia - paddle-like appendages used for locomotion and respiration. Pygospio elegans can reproduce both sexually and asexually.
