Description
Electrona paucirastra is a species of myctophid or lanternfish. It is a marine, deep water-dwelling fish which is known from the tropical and subtropical Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans where it is found at depths of between 300 and 1,000 metres during the day, rising to between 50 and 400 metres at night.
