Dimorphic Egret [Egretta dimorpha]
Description
The Dimorphic Egret is a medium-sized heron that occurs in Madagascar and the Comoros. It has two color forms: a dark morph, which is entirely slate-gray, and a light morph, which is white. Both morphs have a long, thin black beak. It is found in a range of wetland habitats, from freshwater lakes and marshes to brackish estuaries. It is an active hunter, often seen running through shallow water chasing fish.
