Description
Rhacodiaptomus arizonicus, known as the Desert Copepod, is a species native to the southwestern United States. It inhabits temporary and permanent bodies of water in desert regions. Its ability to produce drought-resistant eggs allows it to survive in these harsh environments. The Desert Copepod is small with a cylindrical body and distinctive forked tail.
