Description
The Denticle herring, also known as Apsilus dentatus, is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Pristigasteridae. It is found in the western central Atlantic: Bahamas and northern Gulf of Mexico to Brazil. This species is characterized by its elongated body, silvery color, and well-developed teeth. It usually lives in shallow coastal waters and river mouths.
