Deep-sea mud shrimp [Nannastacus abyssorum]

Description
Nannastacus abyssorum, or the Deep-sea mud shrimp, is a species found in benthic zones, particularly in deep-sea habitats. It is characterized by its relatively larger size among the genus, reaching up to 3 cm, and its darker coloration, varying from dark brown to black. It is known to be a scavenger, feeding on dead organic material in the deep-sea environment. Due to the extreme depth of its habitat, this species is adapted to high pressure and low light conditions.
