Daisy Parrotfish [Chlorurus sordidus]
Description
Daisy Parrotfish are common in the Indo-West Pacific, from the Red Sea and East Africa to the Line Islands and Tuamotus, north to the Ryukyu Islands, south to New Caledonia. They are found on reef flats and seaward reefs and are diurnal feeders of benthic algae. They have a unique pattern of yellow, white and black daisy-like spots over their bodies.
