Cockscomb Prawn [Metapenaeopsis barbata]

Description
The Cockscomb Prawn, scientifically known as Metapenaeopsis barbata, is a marine prawn species in the family Penaeidae. It can be found in the warm waters of the Indo-West Pacific, specifically from the Persian Gulf to Japan and Northern Australia. It inhabits sandy or muddy bottoms in shallow coastal waters. The Cockscomb Prawn has a distinctive red and white striped pattern on its body and a rostrum with a comb-like structure on the underside, which gives it its common name.
