Circle Scallop [Aequipecten circularis]

Description
The Circle Scallop, or Aequipecten circularis, is a species of scallop native to the eastern Pacific Ocean, specifically the coasts of Panama and Ecuador. This species has a circular, slightly inflated shell with 18-20 ribs. The coloration is variable, often with a pattern of radiating stripes. The maximum shell size is around 50mm. The Circle Scallop is typically found in sandy or muddy habitats at depths of 10-50 meters.
