Chaetopterus pugaporcinus [Chaetopterus pugaporcinus]

Description
Chaetopterus pugaporcinus is a marine worm species that has no common English name. The species was discovered near Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea. It lives inside permanent U-shaped tubes in deep-sea habitats. The species is unique due to its pig-shaped rear end, a characteristic from which its name 'pugaporcinus' (Latin for 'piglet') derives. It has a bioluminescent mucus which it uses to catch food particles.
