Description
Speonebaliella cebuana, commonly known as the Cave Crab, is a species of freshwater crab that inhabits caves. It is endemic to the Philippines, specifically on the island of Cebu. Being a troglobite, it has evolved to live in the constant dark, low nutrient environment of caves. It has a reddish-brown body with a slightly squarish carapace. It has long legs and large chelipeds, which are adapted to locate and capture prey in the dark.
