Description
The Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse is a colorful reef fish found in the Western Pacific, from the Philippines to Indonesia. Males can grow up to 13 cm in length and are more brightly colored than females. They inhabit sandy and rubble areas near coral reefs where they feed on small invertebrates. They are known for their unique 'flashing' display during courtship and territorial disputes, where they rapidly change their coloration.
