Bulwer's Petrel [Bulweria bulwerii]
Description
Bulwer's Petrel is a small, dark seabird, known for its long, slender wings and a long, slightly wedge-shaped tail. They are approximately 25–29 cm in length with a wingspan of 77–81 cm. Bulwer's Petrels are pelagic birds that spend most of the year out at sea, only coming to land for breeding. They feed primarily on squid, but also eat small fish. The species breeds on islands in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, typically laying one white egg in a burrow in the ground. These birds are known for their swift and agile flight.
