Bull Ray [Mobula mobular]
Description
The Bull Ray, also known as the Giant Devil Ray, is a species of ray in the family Mobulidae. It is found in the Mediterranean Sea and possibly the eastern Atlantic Ocean. Predominantly pelagic, this species is most often seen inshore, near the coastlines. It has a diamond-shaped body that can reach a width of up to 5.2 meters. It is known for its characteristic cephalic fins, which are long and pointed. Bull Rays are solitary animals, but have been seen travelling in groups. Their diet consists mostly of small, bony fishes.
