Brown Garden Eel [Heteroconger longissimus]
Description
The Brown Garden Eel is a long, slender creature, usually reaching lengths of about 60 cm. These eels are brownish in color, with small white spots along their bodies. They live in burrows in the sand in large colonies, feeding on plankton and small particles in the water. They are found in the Indo-Pacific region, usually at depths of 7-45 meters.
