Blue lanternfish [Tarletonbeania crenularis]
Description
The Blue lanternfish is a deep-sea species found in the Atlantic, Indian and Southern oceans. They are small fishes, typically only reaching around 6cm in length. They have a narrow, elongated body and they are notable for their bioluminescent organs.
