Blue king crab [Paralithodes platypus]

Description
Blue king crab live in the waters near Saint Matthew Island, the Pribilof Islands, and the Diomede Islands, Alaska, and are recognized for their large size and delectable meat. They are named for their color when alive, which is a brownish-blue. They can grow up to 18 inches in carapace width.
