Blubber Jellyfish [Catostylus mosaicus]

Description
The Blubber Jellyfish, also known as the Blue Blubber Jellyfish, is a species of jellyfish from coastal regions in the Indo-Pacific. It is known for its vibrant blue color, but can also appear white or brown depending on its diet. This jellyfish can reach a bell diameter of up to 35 cm. It has a dome-shaped bell and its tentacles are short and fine. The Blubber Jellyfish is abundant in the waters of Australia, particularly in Moreton Bay, Queensland. It feeds on small marine animals and tiny planktonic organisms. Its sting is mild, causing only minor discomfort to humans.
