Blacktip Prowfish [Agonopsis nigripinnis]
Description
The Blacktip Prowfish is a species in the Agonidae family, known for its long, slender body and black-tipped fins. It inhabits the North Pacific, particularly the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea, and has been found as far south as northern California. This species prefers soft, muddy bottoms, and, like its relative the Whiskered Prowfish, is a demersal species that feeds primarily on small invertebrates.
