Description
Isolda euglypta, also known commonly as the Bivalve Isolda, is a small marine bivalve mollusk species. It is found in the North Atlantic Ocean, particularly in the Gulf of Maine and Georges Bank. This species prefers sandy bottoms at depths of 50 to 100 meters. The shell of Isolda euglypta is thin and brittle with a glossy exterior. It is predominantly white, often with a yellow or brown periostracum.
