Description
Podocoryne carnea, commonly known as the Bell Jellyfish, is a species of marine Hydrozoa belonging to the family Hydractiniidae. This species is found in the Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean Sea. The Bell Jellyfish is characterized by its translucent, bell-shaped body that is usually a pinkish or browny color. It has a unique lifecycle that includes a polyp phase and a medusa phase. The polyps form colonies on the seafloor and produce medusae which are released into the water column.
