Bare-throated Tiger Heron [Tigrisoma mexicanum]
Description
The Bare-throated Tiger Heron is found in tropical wetland habitats from Mexico to northwestern Colombia. It is smaller and more robust than its congeners, with a completely bare, yellow throat. It feeds on a variety of aquatic and terrestrial prey, often hunting by standing motionless at the water's edge.
