Banded Tulip [Fasciolaria lilium]

Description
The Banded Tulip is a species found in the Western Atlantic, from North Carolina to Brazil. It lives in sandy or muddy habitats, usually in shallow waters. The shell is characterized by a tall, spindle-like shape with reddish-brown bands. Banded Tulips are carnivorous, preying on bivalves and gastropods.
