Baltic mysid [Paramysis intermedia]
Description
The Baltic mysid is a species of mysidacean crustacean in the family Mysidae. It is found in the Baltic Sea, living in the open sea and the surface layers of the water. It is a small shrimp-like creature with a semi-transparent body that exhibits a behavior called vertical migration, where it moves up to the surface at night and descends to deeper waters during the day.
