Description
Axiokebuita hippocampus, also known as Axiokebuita's Seahorse, is a small, bony fish that inhabits seagrass beds and coral reefs in the Atlantic Ocean. It is characterized by its horse-like head, prehensile tail, and distinctive body armor. Unlike most fish, seahorses have the unique ability to change their color to blend in with their surroundings, providing them with excellent camouflage against predators. The males of this species are also unique in the animal kingdom in that they are the ones who carry the fertilized eggs until they hatch.
