Austropallene briani [Austropallene briani]
Description
Named after French pycnogonologist Claude Briand, this species is found in the Southern Ocean. Like others in its genus, it's a benthic species. Unique characteristics include a cylindrical trunk and cheliphores that are almost as long as the proboscis.
