Australian sea pen [Stylactaria australis]

Description
The Australian sea pen is a marine species found primarily on the coasts of Australia. It belongs to the Anthozoa class, which includes sea anemones and corals. Like other sea pens, it is sessile, meaning it anchors itself to the seafloor and does not move. Its long, slender body is reminiscent of a quill pen, hence the common name. It is notable for its bioluminescent properties, emitting a soft, greenish glow when disturbed.
