Atlantic Bent-nosed Clam [Cyrtodaria siliqua]

Description
The Atlantic Bent-nosed Clam, or Cyrtodaria siliqua, is a marine bivalve mollusk in the family Arcticidae. They can be found in the North Atlantic Ocean, from the Arctic, along the coasts of North America down to Cape Cod. This species prefers soft substrates, often found buried in mud or sand. They have a thick, oval shell with a bent beak, hence the name. The shell is usually white or cream, with rough concentric lines.
