Arctic Sea Butterfly [Limacina retroversa]

Description
Limacina retroversa, or the Arctic Sea Butterfly, is found in the Arctic Ocean. They possess a sinistral, or left-handed, shell and can grow up to 1 cm in diameter. Like other species in the Limacina genus, they 'fly' through the water using their wing-like parapodia. They are an important part of the Arctic food web, serving as a key food source for various fish and bird species.
