Arctic Scale Worm [Polynoe glacialis]
Description
Polynoe glacialis, or the Arctic Scale Worm, is a marine polychaete worm found in Arctic waters. The species inhabits soft sediments on the ocean floor, where it burrows and feeds on detritus and small invertebrates. It has a distinct reddish-brown color and is covered in hard, protective scales.
