Arabian Parrotfish [Calotomus arabicus]
Description
The Arabian Parrotfish, or Calotomus arabicus, is a species of parrotfish native to the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. It is found in shallow inshore reefs where it feeds on algae. It has a greenish-grey body with pinkish scales and a parrot-like beak used for grazing. Like other parrotfish, it changes sex from female to male.
