American Opossum Shrimp [Neomysis americana]

Description
This species is native to the Atlantic coast of North America. They prefer estuarine environments and are found in significant numbers in salt marshes and seagrass beds. They are nocturnal, emerging at night to feed on detritus and small invertebrates.
