Little Ringed Plover [Charadrius dubius]

Description
A small plover with a distinctive black and white pattern on its head and neck. The species is found near freshwater bodies across Eurasia and migrates to Africa in winter. It feeds on insects, worms and other small invertebrates. The key distinguishing feature of this species is its yellow eye-ring, which is prominent during the breeding season.
