Magellanic Penguin [Spheniscus magellanicus]

Description
The Magellanic Penguin is native to South America, specifically Argentina, Chile and the Falkland Islands. They are medium-sized penguins which grow to be 61–76 cm tall and weigh between 2.7 and 6.5 kg. The males are larger than the females, and the weight of both drops while the parents nurture their young. Adults have black backs and white abdomens. Two black bands between the head and the breast separate the white coloring and are characteristic of the species. Their habitat includes coastal patagonian areas and sometimes they are also found in the Antarctic peninsula.
