Pacific Electric Ray [Narcine entemedor]
Description
The Pacific Electric Ray, or Narcine entemedor, is a species of numbfish in the family Narcinidae. It is native to the eastern Pacific Ocean, from the Gulf of California to Ecuador. It inhabits sandy and muddy bottoms in shallow coastal waters, and it can produce a strong electric shock for defense and for stunning its prey.
