Description

The Aesopia Snake Eel, or Aesopia cornuta, is a marine fish species that belongs to the Ophichthidae family. It can be found in the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region, with a geographic distribution extending from the eastern coast of Africa to the islands of Polynesia, and from south Japan to New Caledonia. This species lives at a depth of 1 to 15 meters and is known for its nocturnal behavior. The Aesopia Snake Eel is characterized by its long, slender body that can reach up to 60 cm in length, and its distinctive horn-like appendage on its snout.
