New Zealand rock pool copepod [Tigriopus angulatus]

Description
T. angulatus is found in the rock pools along the coasts of New Zealand. They are small copepods known for their ability to survive in harsh, changing conditions. Most notably, they can survive in habitats with high UV radiation. They feed on microscopic algae and detritus.
