Pacific Sand Shrimp [Arthura pacifica]

Description
A species of ghost shrimp that inhabits the western coast of North America. They have a light brown body with small red spots. They are found in sandy and muddy substrates near estuaries. They are scavengers and their diet includes detritus and small organisms.
