Description

The Northern red-eyed prawn is a marine crustacean species found in the northern Atlantic Ocean. They thrive in depths between 100 to 800 meters. Similar to Erythrops erythrophthalma, they also possess bright red eyes. These prawns are known for their scavenging behavior, feeding mostly on the detritus found on the ocean floor. They have a transparent body and a large, square-shaped rostrum.
