Description
Striopagurus strigimanus, commonly known as the white-spotted hermit crab, is a species of hermit crab in the family Diogenidae. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region, from Madagascar to Hawaii, and from Japan to Australia. It is characterized by a broad, shield-shaped carapace covered in short, stiff bristles and white spots. It typically inhabits gastropod shells and is found in a variety of marine habitats, including coral reefs and sandy bottoms.
