Poulsbo Sea Cucumber [Elassochirus tanneri]

Description
The Poulsbo Sea Cucumber, or Elassochirus tanneri, is a smaller species of sea cucumber indigenous to the northeastern Pacific Ocean. It inhabits the intertidal zones of rocky shores, often hiding under rocks during low tide. The Poulsbo Sea Cucumber is known for its leathery, dark brown or black body and the array of small, white bumps that cover its surface. It feeds primarily on organic detritus and small invertebrates.
