Description
Hansenomicrocerberus japonicus, commonly known as the Japanese Sandhopper, is a species of amphipod crustacean that can be found in marine environments around Japan. They inhabit sandy seafloors where they burrow and feed on dead organic matter. These creatures are small, usually less than 1 cm in length, with a segmented body and a distinct, curved shape. They are known to jump when disturbed, which is how they get their common name.
