Description

The Spotted Gorgonian Shrimp is a small marine crustacean that belongs to the family Palaemonidae. They are generally small, measuring only about 1-2 inches in length. They are mostly found in the western Atlantic Ocean, dwelling on soft corals and gorgonians. The species is characterized by its slender body, long antennae, and a distinct pattern of white spots on a reddish-orange or brown body. They spend most of their time hiding in their host coral, venturing out only to feed.
