Australian Muddy worm [Owenia australis]

Description
A species of annelid worm belonging to the genus Owenia. Found primarily along the coasts of Australia, it shares many physical characteristics with its relative, Owenia fusiformis. It is a tube-dwelling worm that inhabits muddy or sandy sea beds. The worm's body is elongated and segmented, with a retractable 'introvert' head. It feeds primarily on micro-organisms found in the sediment.
