Common Worm-snail [Psamathe oryza]

Description
Psamathe oryza, also known as the Common Worm-snail, is a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Psammobiidae. It is found throughout the Pacific Ocean, especially in the waters surrounding Japan. It has a white, elongated shell that spirals in a counter-clockwise direction. This species burrows into the sandy sea floor to hide from predators and to search for food, which mainly consists of detritus and small organisms.
