Description
The Florida Spiny Jewelbox, or Ctena florida, is a bivalve species endemic to the western Atlantic Ocean, particularly around Florida and the Caribbean. This species is characterized by its small, thick, and ovate shell which is covered with numerous spiny projections. It inhabits sandy or muddy seabeds and feeds by filtering plankton from the water.
