Description
Trapezium obliquum, commonly known as the Oblique Trapeze Cockle, is a marine bivalve species in the family Cardiidae. The species is native to the Western Indian Ocean where it inhabits sandy or muddy substrates in shallow waters. It is recognized by its obliquely oriented shell which is covered in irregularly spaced radial ribs. The species is a filter feeder, feeding primarily on plankton.
